by Richard Merrell

My phone is a blessing
When it rings, I hurry there,
Because I have my phone
I need not to despair.

Someone may call with words to say
That pierce into my soul,
Or, maybe kind and gentle words
In love, that make one whole.

Those times when I am by myself
I know I'm not alone;
For I can eagerly await
The ringing of my phone!
