by Richard Merrell

There are no words of human tongue
That can ever pronounce clear
The pain that Jesus felt;
As he hung and suffered there.
Nor are there words that tell
With crystal clarity
How he fulfilled his Father's will,
By being nailed to that tree.
But even though mere words
Of human tongue do try,
It's with the heart I speak to God
And in the spirit sigh.

Psalm 22:14,15
